Bit Polytechnic has been established in 2008 by a group of experienced Engineers and Technologist which is being promoted by a registered Trust namely "under the Chairmanship of Er. Dharanidhara Mishra. The institure is supported by our leading & pioneer Industrial Training Centre (ITC) Samalpur, Balasore being the premier institute of our state since 1990 and guided by the Eminent Personalities and Educationists to manage the Present need of the technical Education."

The Institution is situated over an area of 10 Acres of land and 8 km. far from Balasore Railway Station & Town.The Campus provides a calm and serene environment for the academic persuits.
